Friends of the Park Annual Meeting

Friends Annual Meeting Invitation to all - please come! A great opportunity to meet in 'real-time' to hear about our successes and discuss the work ahead in our park. Details below including free shuttle. Friends of Virgin Islands National Park will hold its Annual Meeting at Trunk Bay on Sunday, January 27th, 2019 at 2pm. Please come and join us if you are on St. John! This is a special time for all park-lovers together in "real-time" to hear about the impact of our collaborative efforts, discuss future plans, and ask questions. The keynote speaker at this informative meeting will be Mr. Bob Vogle, Regional Director of National Park Service’s Southeast Region. Come hear what the Friends of VI National Park has accomplished and plans for the upcoming year to protect, preserve and educate within our park. The meeting will also include an Annual Report from Friends of the Park outgoing President Joe Kessler, and an introduction to the new incoming President of the Friends of the Park, Todd Sampsell. A State of the Park Address will be delivered by VINP Park Superintendent Nigel Fields. Light refreshments will be served following the meeting. A free shuttle service is available from the National Park Service maintenance parking lot (just past Mongoose Junction -- please do not park at Mongoose Junction while attending this meeting) at 1:30 pm that day, and returning after the meeting. All those attending the meeting are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the shuttles as parking at Trunk Bay is very limited.
